Google Developers Group Galway are hosting a free technology event, at the Portershed (Eyre Square) on Wednesday 14th September at 7pm.

The aim of this evening is to encourage senior cycle students to embark on a technical career in areas such as Science Technology Engineering and Maths. There will be speakers from Amazon, HP, Triangle and Google talking about how they started on their career paths, who influenced them and where students can start out on their own path to a career in STEM.
There will also be a speaker from NUIG to talk about the different courses available, particularly Computer Science & I.T., Engineering, and I.T. through Arts.

It would be a great opportunity for any students in TY, 5th or 6th year, especially those who will be filling out their CAO forms for the first time in the coming months.

There will be free Dough Bros pizza for everyone in attendance, and other freebies including an NUIG goodie bag. Parents are also welcome to attend.
