The Green Schools Team Go Shopping!!

The Greens Schools committee members Jennifer Mannion and Magdalena Grochola shopped till they dropped in Tesco last Friday evening 28th February. The Greens Schools committee were awarded €300 from Tesco to support their promotion of waste reduction in the school and towards their work in getting the school’s first Green Flag.
A proportion of the school’s students were surveyed for the best ideas as how to spend these vouchers and the two girls endeavoured to get the most popular items from the survey and get the best value for money also.
The Green Schools would like to extend a huge ‘Thank You’ to the Tesco team members Michelle Mahon, Ray Horan who so kindly and generously organised this award, and to Patti Feerick of Tesco Galway who was so kind, welcoming and helpful during the girls shopping excursion.
Some of the items the girls purchased included a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, Sony headsets, ITunes vouchers and the contents of some very large sweets hampers!! All for the upcoming Green Schools competitions and promotions.
