As part of the Transition Year Bank build a bank challenge, this year’s bank team hosted all-Ireland winning footballer Colm “the Gooch” Cooper and Shane Walsh, Galway’s only 2014 All Star footballer to the school.
The two footballers were giving a training session to all the students who had signed up and opened bank accounts in this years ‘Bank of Independence’. There was great excitement for the students who were delighted to partake in this opportunity.
The bank team would like to thank Colm Cooper and Shane Walsh for doing the training session, and also give a special thanks their generous sponsors Mace, Joyce’s and Centra. They also want to remind student’s that the bank is open every Tuesday at lunchtime!
